    [CQ] Ricoh 1357EX-Washed out copies

I've got a Ricoh 1357EX that is running 85% coverage/edge to edge printing. Sometime during the run ( about half way ) the images get washed out. The machine has about 300K on it and developer was restarted well before schedule. We've tossed around the idea about shutting off the recycle cycle or about adjusting the density from 1300 to 1200, but it would run the risk of overtoning especially on regular copying. Any thoughts?

Set SP 2507-1 to "On" Set SP2507-2 to 50. This will produce ID patches every 50 copies (Or as you require) during a run and help maintain the density using VSP rather than VT. The customer won't even notice the difference in speed. This is also the best way to recover from low toner in any of the newer Ricoh models rather than using Forced toner supply (just set 2507-2 to 10 and run white sheets in duplex).

It's uniformly washed out? Or you have just washed out bands? Did you check/cleaned your doctor blade? If the wash out is uniform increasing the frequency of ID patches will help
