    Firmware Download error (Aficio 3025)

    Had a perfectly good working machine until we tried to update firmware for smb scnnning problems. Now I have a message saying "download error E44, security module card no.:1/1".

    Have tried a different sd cards with different firmware files. Also replaced controller & nvram before doing second download. Now have 2 controllers & 2 sets of nvram that are inop.

    Any ideas or advice from anyone who's seen this would be greatly appreciated.

      SET BIT 1 OF DIPSWITCH 1 ON THE CONTROLLLER BOARD TO ON AND TURN THE POWER ON , THE MACHINE WILL BOOT FROM THE SD CARD.
      After installing new scanner firmware, execute Memory Clear- All.
