Light Density Copies, Prints Perfect MP4000

I've got a Savin 9040/Ricoh MP4000 that a tech did a PM on. Not sure how reliable this tech is. I'm sure right now you are thinking.
Anyways, the Prints and Internal Stuff look great. So he did something correct. However copies are pretty washed out. There have been no SC's.

I cleaned the mirrors and lamp. Also checked and cleaned LD glass since he didn't do that.
This improved it some, but the black Triangle and Bold Black lines on the Copy count that I copy is missing black coverage. I Darkened the Auto Image Density down x2 and that helped even more, but I still notice it. Hopefully customer won't, but they copy things that are written in pencil.

Same day the FAX Board goes bad. Just wondering what in the heck this tech/customer did. Can plugging a fax line into a DSL splitter on the DSL side blow a board?
