    MP5500 light spots

I have a MP5500 that had light spots in a line down the page. Thought it looked like dead spots on the drum so I replaced the drum and that fixed the problem. However, the problem came back the next day and we now have a MP6001 doing the exact same thing. Could it be something environmental? Some kind of fumes? Anybody had any experience with this?

Drum charge corona problem or development unit mag roller void areas come to mind.
Don't take that toner with me!

Connect the optional heaters for drum and optics.
Set 3903 to 'on' (Drum rotation time extention) and 2964-1 (transfer/drum blade forming) to a higher value.(More powder on the drum..)
Enable fuser idling mode to stabilize the conditions around the drum (1103 or 1104 SP mode).
I had the same symptoms on MP5500 and AF-2075 in the past...i found that drum was covered by a thin layer of moisture.(wet paper heated all night from the tray heaters, maybe....)
You really have a ghost in the machine!!!
