[CQ] Convert Gestetner MP2550B AD

Hi

Can someone told me if they already convert Gestetner MP2550B AD to MP2550 CSP. If Yes what i need to do upload firmware of MP2550 CSP. For Gestetner MP2550B AD, i have all option :hard disk, memory 256Mb.

You cannot upgrade the b&w scanner to a color scanner if that's what you're asking. If you want to add the print/scan function, you'll need to order the kit (the SD card is the key to functionality).

About the scanner both are BW & colour. The different are that the ricoh MP2550B AD have only copier option, need to install printer & scanner option & others. The Ricoh MP2550csp have printer & scanner option integrated in the firmware. Me i would like to upload the firmware of the MP2550csp & download to MP2550B AD with HDD & 256Mb memory. Because that i asked someone that they already convert Ricoh Mp2550B AD To MP2550csp. what do you advise me? Buy or upload firmware in machine MP2550csp.

You can't add print/scan by firmware, there is a print/scan SD card that needs to be installed. The MP2550sp (D018) has the SD card installed along with the HDD and memory. It also has a color scanner standard.
The MP2550b (D017) (the b stands for b&w or mono scanner and cannot be converted to color). That is sold as a copier only and would require the print/scan option to be ordered separately. The kit also includes the control panel buttons you would need to add.

DON'T mess with firmware! Follow the instructions teebee1234 said. You can't convert one machine into another just by uploading firmware.

I'm with teebee. The scanners are physically different. I don't know if there is a price difference between the two machines. There is no buying the cheaper copier and upgrading to colour.

You could end up killing the copier.
