    misfeeding

What would cause misfeeding in a Ricoh 1075 from the tandem tray. Appears to be overfeeding before the registration roller. Happens whether multiple or single copying. Whether duplexing or not.???
    Thanks!!!

since paper feed on that model is all motors and no clutches, i'd be lookin' fer some one ways that are shot. developer can contaminate the feed units if it's leaking from the rear of the development unit. check that first and repair if necessary. if it did leak, just replace all the one way bearings that got dumped on, then clean and lube all roller shaft bushings that are probably also full of developer. another thing to look for is worn out mylar paper guides inside the main paper registration unit which can wear out and catch the paper.
Don't take that toner with me!

And when you clean the shafts the one way bearings are on, lightly polish them with a dry scotchbrite green pad. I have had good luck lately with this procedure. Beats having to replace the whole feed unit.
