    Ricoh 1075 noise

I noticed a noise in this copier that appeared to be coming from the develpoing unit. I replaced the unit and noise went away. upon inspecting the noisy unit I noticed the noise came from the toner hopper???(not sure if correct in naming this part) that attaches to the top of developing unit. within a month the unit that I placed in the copier is making the same squeeking noise. any thoughts as to what might be causing this. just lucky on my part to have 2 units with the same issue???
    thanks!!!

Have you changed the bushings in the dev unit, part no.'s B065-3069x4 and B070-3115x2.Could be coming from the auger, slightly misleading!!
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.

All Martini's do this after a while. I just leave them to it and tell the customer it's a normal noise for the machine to make after a while. I replaced a complete dev unit and hopper assembly and the machine started making the same noise after a couple of months or so.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

i will usually disassemble and clean the hopper/recycle unit then lube it using tiny amounts of white lithium grease and it usually knocks out the squeaking. watch out for the mylars in the recycle section, they're easy to dislodge (if they are not already).
Don't take that toner with me!
