    SAVIN C2525

WORKING ON A SAVIN C2525. THEY JUST MOVED THE COPIER. THE PAPER STOPS (CAUSEING A JAM CODE) JUST BEFOR IT EXITS THE MACHINE AND ENTERS THE FINISHER. THE JAM INDICATOR SAYS THERE IS A JAM IN THE FINISHER ITSELF, BUT THERE IS NOT, ONLY UNDER THE TRANSPORT DOOR. NOT REALLY JAMMING EITHER, JUST STOPPING THERE. ONLY HAPPENS ONCE IN A WHILE (EVERY FIFTH PAGE OR SO) NOT EVERY COPY. AND THE CUSTOMER CAN NOT RECALL IF IT WAS HAPPENING BEFOR THE MOVE!! DON'T KNOW A THING ABOUT THIS MACHINE. I'M A KONICA GIRL. THANKS.

You'll need to get the jam code. Sounds like it could be a Power On jam, which means an interlock is open during operation (not technically a paper jam, will be logged first in the jam code list on the smc report). These newer bridge units (blue ones) are pretty notorious for this. The access covers shake slightly and if there is too much play between the switch button and cover, it will open momentarily during op. Could possibly be another interlock (front cover, finisher door, right side) but most common it the bridge. Either replace them or add a thin shim to the top cover where it contacts the switch (which is what I normally do).
Print out the logging data to get the code (SP5-990-004) it will list the last 10 by date/time and total qty. for each type of jam.
I've attached a Troubleshooting guide that lists the SC and jam codes with detailed descriptions.

tape the bridge unit covers down and try running the machine. if the jams stop, remove the bridge unit (3 screws) then the switches. you can dismantle them, clean some of the grease from inside and LIGHTLY "tweak" the contacts. This will cure the problem. You could change the switches, but the fault may return.
