    ricohmpc2500 envelope feeding

i have a problem with the bypass feeding envelopes without crinkling the envelope.
cant feed it portrait (sideways) it will pick it up but stops and jams on pper size isue,of course, but it does not crinkle the env, there is no env setting in the properties, i have tried all thick papaer settings, no good, any ideas?

    2) in word in office 7 on vista or wind7 the address prints at the bottom of the env, i have told the machine everywich way to put the add on the env, still ends up at the end of the env. could this machine need firmware updte? for the vista/win7?

or this machine just doent do env's...

Envelopes are not officially supported. The fuser is what wrinkles the envelopes. Using a very high quality envelope may help but you would be better served by printing labels to apply to the envelope.

...but I wouldn't count on it.

These machines simply don't do well with envelopes - they never have.

What do you call a bus full of salesmen on the bottom of the ocean? A good start!

If using a standard #10 envelope.

Run the envelopes from the bypass face down, flap open, long edge feed.

You will need to set the envelope size in MS Word to C5 to account for the open flap. Feed method should be face down and centered.

You may need to select Thick mode if the toner doesn't fuse.

I used this to fix the wrinkling problem a several accounts.

              Hope this helps.

                Was this a test??
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?
