    Ricoh Aficio 2018

    Hi guys,
    Ricoh 2018/1018, fax, print.
    Customer at moment only uses as copier, and most time after copy run finished print a STATUS REPORT(network with ip address etc.)

    I went through the service mode and cannot find how to disable the report & also user tools menu.

    Can someone please help, maybe i skip menu?I am Canon Tech and stated working on small ricoh model not to long ago.

    make conecion betwen the pc and machine by network cable and go to broswer at pc
    write ip of machine will open window chose configre page uncheck start up page
    password is sysadm goog luck

      That report prints after the initialization of the NIC. They would have to be using the main AC switch to turn the machine off to be getting that all the time, tell them to use the button on the operation panel and not the red / orange switch. I believe you can access the settings from a browser and disable the report as above.

        Zed, a little off topic, but I just now noticed the running man in your avatar has scissors in his hand. That's damn funny lol.

            Thanks for the reply,
            They only switch the copier off from red s/w at end of the day and i have seen the fault my self as you finish the copy run after short while the startup page prints.
            I will try what loverkoko suggested.

              sorry can you please explain in details as you mention browser, do i set up as printer with drivers and use cmd command to check ip address with ipconfig?

                Set up an IP in the machine (which is currently 192.168.1.100 BTW) and connect directly to a laptop set up with a compatible IP (that is on the same subnet, so something like 192.168.1.1 would likely work) using a cross-over cable. Then connect to it by inputting the copier's IP into the address bar of a web browser. There will be a link or button to access 'Administrator Mode' or similar and I believe on those the username field is left blank and sysadm is used for the password. You can configure settings once in the web interface.
