ricoh 3035 jam code 13

according to the loggin data, jam code 13 is the duplex exit 2 ON.

i am confused because when it jams it jams at tray 2 only, just as its feeding the paper through tray 2. most of the time on the first page. paper is always jammed well before the registration sensor. i hardly find it jammed in the duplex section.
ive replaced all the feed rollers, cleaned the vertical sensors. checked and replaced the black paper guide. swapped trays. replaced pressure roller. removed cleaning roller. removed the black pads on the inverter section below scanner. cleaned all rollers and sensors in duplex .

any ideas why its triggering jam code 13?

somestimes it doesnt jam, but when it does, it constantly jams.

If it shows a jam at the duplex sensor but the paper hasn't even made it past the reg sensor, it may be a faulty sensor. Have you tried replacing that duplex sensor?

Open the Right hand door, on the black unit at the top of the door there is a sensor. This is the fuser exit sensor and if faulty will give jam code 13 (If my memory serves me). There was a mod on earlier (AF1035) machines. also turn the gear on the transfer unit. If this is binding you may get weird jams, normally on a long run, as the transfer unit drags back the main drive.

i think the manual is incorrect, because on the 2035 and 3500 jam code 13 is a registration sensor jam.

May be the memory isn't what it was, but I'm fairly sure this was a problem on the AF1035, so may be worth changing.
