    Ricoh 5000L Fax

Hello everyone, I need help with a fax machine I have at the office. It's a Ricoh 5000L. There was a kit in a box sitting underneath the fax for 3 years, that's what I was told. So, I replaced the parts with the new ones.

But now I'm experiencing no sound as faxes are being sent and I still get a reading that I need to replace ADF? and reset counter? How do I resolve these issues?

I've tried to go into user options but it will not enable me to access option "2" Also, can I fax using my desktop computer? If so, how? I apologize for so many questions and being my first post, but I need to resolve these issues quickly. Any help is always appreciated.

What is the name on the kit box?

    Follow these steps

[User Tools] / [Key Op Tools] / [System Settings] / [#] / [Reset PM Counter] > select ADF Roller or Fusing Unit / [Reset] / [OK],

Also, can I fax using my desktop computer? If so, how?

You can if you have the optional PC Fax Exp. Type 500 installed.
