I have a few issues with a refurbished MP 6500 that I attempted to setup yesterday.
Scan to email.
When I go to scan to email it tells me that the sender is not registered, I have the setting enabled to auto specify the sender and in the one touch i have it the "register as sender" checked as well (web interface). I can not register the admin email for the machine, it tells me I'm not authorized although all the admin authentication is off. In the utility screen I press the log in key to try and log in as admin but nothing comes up is there perhaps a different way to log in on the machine as admin. I can get in the admin via the web interface with user name admin and a blank password. I change the admin email but when I check it on the machine its not showing.
SMB/folder
The machine gives the message Quick dial table can not be used now when I try to scan to the folders, why would this be? I checked with a machine we had here at the office and it did the same thing when there was no scan to smb one touch setup after I setup a one touch i could access it, thing is though on the machine in the field i registered the onetouches via the web interface.
I was thinking of a firmware update but I dont have the firmware for this model and getting Ricoh firmware is like pulling teeth for some reason.
I'm fairly good with setting these Ricoh type machines up on networks rarely do I have issues but this one kinda has me stumped. Any help would be much appreciated thanks!
