    2228 or 3228 developer

Has anyone ever tried to put development units intended for a J-C1 into a J-C2 ?

    Has it worked?

Just tring to get out of a hole here.

Totally different, the 3228 toner has a different composition and particle size to make up for the lack of an oiler in the fuser and its higher resolution. So the toner in the 2238 dev that's premixed would probably make a mess of things. You can substitute the PCU though. And the casing is also molded different so you can't insert one type into the other machine.

I figured as much. I knew there had to be some difference.

It lead to a lively discussion with my manager.

      Thank you.

7200 will work in a 3200 if you pull a tab out of the front of the dev. Same with the drums.
