Can any of you guys point me to a toner cartridge reset device for the B222/B230 color machines? We are wasting a lot of toner replacing carts that still have a considerable amount left in them.

Just turn down the toner near end value. SP's 3101-013 to 016. We now set them at 5g.It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

I have been wondering the same thing too. I see that on the c28/3300, the c4/5000 as well as the c4500, the default on all four is 50. Lowering to 5 makes alot of sense. However, it is interesting that on the MPc20/2050 the default black is 13 and the 3 colors are 3. The big machines like the c7501 dont have that setting. Sosigpic

tell the customer not to replace the cartridge until is says it is empty. they can still have quite a bit in them when the almost empty message appears, it should keep working until the cartridge is actually empty.Don't take that toner with me!Comment

Most customers don't even notice the near end sign notification anyway, it can be sat there for three or four weeks and the customer will only change the cartridge when the machine stops working. It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

hell your lucky..............1/2 of my customers replace it when it says 'replace toner/cartridge soon' (even if it is saying replace the drum cartridge soon) 2 different animals. evidently 'soon' is a foriegn word. yeah i know that is spelt wrong.Comment
