Did you clean the mag roller and check the contacts on the PCU? Was the machine doing this before you worked on it?

PCU been serviced recently? Could be the charge roller on the drum's had it and the machine's trying to over-compensate for the worn parts.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

Or the Charge Roller is not fitted correctly?

Hi it sounds to me that the pcu assembly needs to be cleaned and then you must calibrate the id sensor sp mode 2-805 and then do drum initialisation sp3-001 i think just check your manual to verify these sp modes.

How about a follow up? Have you had a chance to have another look at this machine? We are trying to establish if you had worked on the machine prior to this problem occuring? These machines can throw up some odd problems after you have worked on it. It's very rare that I get these machines to make a good copy first copy after a service.....end up whipping the PCU out and sorting something to get it working

Are the charge roller arms stuck away from the drum? it's easy for these to catch on the contact clips when installing the drum. are you covering the dev entrance when you fit dev? If the machine has been overtoning it may continue to try and add toner when conditioning the new dev! SC350 is an ID error and WILL happen every 10 copies, or at the end of a run of more than 10.

I have seen this after complete pm. Replaced mag. roller assy. to solve problem. I think there was a bulletin a long time ago addressing this problem. In regard to the charge roller arm's sticking I always pull on the arms at point of spring tensioners and let them pop the charge roller against the drum, at the same time and alternating front and rear several times after re-assembling pcu.
