    Ricoh 3224c Help

    Hi all have a 3224c which ive never worked on before has come in for sc412 which is transfer roller bias charge reror.I have adjusted all the contacts to no avail anyone else seen this with this model is it the actual transfer unit itself i should be looking at? any ideas would be great

      Have you checked the transfer roller contact meachanism? I can't recall having this specific SC Code and there's no bulletin for this issue available.

        Hi Jan,

        I havent can this trigger these codes. Ive ordered the ptr as it is on 283 k funny thing is error is only thrown up on on colour prints.Print the same document in black and white and no error.Funny thing is the first copy around 3.0 mil of the leading edge is faded then clears up on the second copy.Any feedback much apperciated.

          i think its the insulator at the transfer roller contact(black)its on the wrong side thus preventing the contact to the frame,check that out,i hope i make sense had the same prob,

              Change the clutch (AB040020) driving the PTR.
              Also check the solonoid not hang (output check)

                Katash you were spot on it was th insusator on the transfer roller which was around the wrong way so it wasnt making contact.Thanks for all the input.
