[Error Code] SC:544 in Lanier LD015

Hi, our Lanier LD015 is generating this error code SC:544. The code appears as soon as you turn the machine on, even if it's been off all night. Any ideas? Thanks so much!

Just call a tech. More than likely it will require a new hot roller or thermistor.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

          Hit it.

Ok thanks to teebee1234's PM it's working again. :-) the fuser roller looks ok...smooth etc. (I think I was looking at the right thing!). Anyone know if it's possible for a non-tech like me to replace things like rollers and thermistors? this site sells them

No it is not. This type of repair is best left to a qualified technician.

It's a fuser error too, it needs to be reset via SP mode

Although I agree with Jon, it's good that you got it sorted. Hopefully meltdown has not commenced...

Guess what?! The error came back. :-( It actually came back a few weeks ago...but not until today did we REALLY need the copier to work.

Anyway I need a tech in the south California area - Orange County. Any recommendations?

                    thanks!
