3260C up to its same old fuser tricks

When i first took this machine on about a year ago. I walked up to the machine to discover that the fuser did not turn. The reason was the Hot roller had a chunk about 1-1/2 inches wide missing(slightly off center) and bound up the belt so that it caused a sc520. I finally got this machine up and running with drums and most recently a dead sensor and a few other minor things(springs out of place, new exit unit) and now it has a sc 520(1 year later)
i walk up to the machine to fnid the exact same problem as when i first saw this thing a year ago. They do not print that much on it and the roller should not be worn out. I think it is a few years old and they have a total count of 350,000 copies on it(approx) The fuser was rebuilt in feb. i think.
I do recall seeing a service bulletin about a similar issue and it mentioned an sp adjustment to help prevent this type of thing. I am going to check into that but want to see if there is anything else i can do to prevent this from happeneing in the future. When i rebuild it everything was in great shape just the roller had a chunk missing so i replaced the roller the lower and the belt and the thermoswitch assembly. I am wondering if i need to put in a new belt oil roller or bearings or if anyone knows of any other issue that may be causing this to happen. Thank you

First of all you have to do a firmware upgrade for this issue...

These rollers have a habit of doing this after a certain lifespan, not just number of copies but hours of heating and cooling. That is one of the reasons why the Venus C2 (MPC 6000/7500) had to have a fuser redesign.

It's the fact that the unit sits in a ready condition without being used enough. If the auto off timer is set to 15 minutes or less to allow the machine to be off when not in use it will help, also as mentioned ensure your firmware is up to date.
