    Mp 55/65/7500 sc542

We have a fair share of these codes and I usually upgrade firmware, replace thermistors and turn off AOF, i have now started to do as rtb suggests and change SP1107-003 from 60 to 120. I just want some info as to anybody's experience with this method, cheers.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.

I have been doing that with some good sucess. I also lower the temps by about 10 degrees, especially the initial temperatures and put a spacer behind the plug. This does not seem to affect the copy/print quality.

I've been changing a host of SP's to help with the issue. I update firmware, turn AOF 'OFF', using the latest thermisters and brackets also, AW10-0131, AW10-0132, D062-4196, and D062-4197 from TSB-13R.

      SP's I've been adjusting:

      1105-001 to 1105-010, all down 10C
1107-001 to 1107-008, temps down 10C, times set to 120s
3904, set to 1 to extend warmup period by forcing a charge wire cleaning+short process control (about 70s), if set to 2 forces a full process control (about 240s)

You can also enable pre fusing idling but the delay between the machine bringing a page to the aligning rollers and actually printing the first sheet tends to agrivate customers and results in service calls for 'slow copies / prints'.

Interestingly we only seem to see the issue with the 120V units, the 240V inits don't seem to exhibit the SC542's and SC555's.
