[Dead] MPC2050 Displaying "PLEASE WAIT" only.

I have this machine problem that when you turn on, it displays "PLEASE WAIT" only. I reformatted the harddisk and replaced BCU Board but still same problem. Does anyone experienced this problem before? Please help. Thanks.

Could be the HDD's failed completely or the controller board's packed up. Try the HDD first tho.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Could still be harddisk, try starting it with harddisk disconnected, if it comes to ready the replace drive. Have had the same on another model.

I already tried disconnecting the harddisk and turning it on but still the same problem.

may sound daft but how long after disconnecting HDD did you wait while it was saying "please wait" it can take some time to get to ready... have waited a good 4/5 mins before

Check the fuser lamps for continuity, I had a filament blow on an MPC2050. Check for bent / broken thermistors. Update to latest firmware

If the machine doesn't boot with the HDD disconnected you may have a faulty NV-Ram or controller board - the BCU shouldn't lead to this problem.

I've seen the HDD, nvram, controller and dimm cause this. The next step should be the dimm, remove or reseat it first before you go any further.

Finally, I found out that the power supply is faulty. It didn't supply a dc volt to the BCU. Thanks to those who give time responding this post.
