    Aficio 3260c Lubricant Bar

    Hi all...

The problem is that, Lubricant Bars (mostly magenta and black) are unevenly ''spent''. All PM parts are replaced at same time and so far have done 90k. Thanks...

If I remember correctly there is a weight bar that is placed on top of the lubricant bar andshould be pressing it down, from the looks of what you are having something is interfering with bar sitting correctly into the unit.

I have only one A5560 out there and I did just one PM so far (very low volume) - the wax bar looked kinda the same. My guess is that the housing/bearing is a bit notchy

It may be the tabs on the end are bent out (or in for that matter) a little to far and causing the bar to hang up and not sit flush with equal pressure on both ends.

I took the weights out of all my 3260s because the drums were getting coated with wax long before they were worn out. The problem comes back once the lube bar gets over 1/2 way down, so I just check & replace the lube bars now. Much cheaper than replacing the drum!

This is a common occurrence on Ricoh color machines.
