    Ricoh 1075 misfeeds

I have worked on this copier about 3 times for misfeeds maybe more but 3 times where the problem appeared to be the same yet not. First time was due to leaking developer in pf assy. Second time paper catching in fuser. Third time paper stopping in duplex unit. Times 2 and 3 resulted in paper also stopping in same area as time 1 yet I believe it stopped there (right before reg. roler) because of paper stopping in Fuser time 2 or duplexer time 3. I'm wondering if this last time was due to enviorment. The copier has been in the same place all three times yet there were physical signs the first two as to reason for paper stopping. This third time and which I failed to mention I've been there a couple of times for this call and both times the copier had not been used till the big run was being made and the room was extremly cold. Flipping the paper each time allowed the copier to work.
    Cold conditions affecting this???? Thanks!!!

      Hello

If you find a paper jamed right before the reg. roller at all 3 times, is due to paper feed assy. Try to change them with one another. they are all the same. If this doesn't work, you must change all gears from the rear side of paper assy (or paper assy itself but is very expensive). It's happened to me to broke all paper assy's in the same time for two times.

      Good luck

This a common problem with this engine. The dev units let go and dump all over the feed stations.(usually with the 1st one copping the brunt of it but I have seen 2 and 3 affected as well.As mentioned, change / repair the affected units. It would also be wise to pull the reg unit and clean this out as well.

Replace the one-ways in the feed sections. Especially since you've had a dev leak.

Also, clean the registration sensor assy.. it is below the dv unit and pcu and catches a lot of paper dust. remove the dv unit & pcu, remove two blue handles and cover, take off a screw and the cover will lift up. most of the time, you'll see an accumulation of paper dust.
