    Pro906 EX misfeeding

I've got a Pro906 EX that misfeeds a few times a day and nearly all the jams are logged as registration sensor on, I can't see anything obvious in that area that could be causing it and it works a treat during testing but then jams when i'm not there. Anyone got any suggestions? I'm wasting loads of time just watching it copy, but I can't see bugger all wrong with it. The machine has done 1.6 million. It wouldn't be so bad, but it's in a school and one of the teachers keeps taking it out of action by tearing the paper when clearing the jam in places they can't get at, so i'm having to go out and clear it then the sodding thing won't jam while i'm there. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

    Cheers.

Could be the photo interupter sensor just before the reg rollers can get covered in paper dust and give issues, might be worth checking that and giving it a good clean.

Not being trained on the Katana I don't know much about them. Do they suffer from the same registration mylar thing as the Martini and Mojito?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

Thanks for the replies, yeah, cleaned the sensor already Comatose, 1st thing I checked, it was a bit dusty because it hadn't been cleaned in a while but it made no difference unfortunately. Cleaned all the transport/reg rollers, usual stuff but no joy as yet.

What's this mylar thing TonerMunkeh? I'm guessing it's a tear or something in the reg mylar on the Martini and Mojito? I've not seen any signs of that on mine, had a good scout around the area. It's a bit of a head wrecker at the moment, and of course being a school machine I can't have it in bits for hours on end because the teachers are breathing down my neck to use it all the time. I've ordered a registration sensor in case it's playing up intermittently, all I can think of at the moment.

The reg mylars on the Martini can be a pain in the ASS. I replace them every million now, or sooner if the customer is using crap paper. If you've got a Martini handy, drop the little B2 guide and you'll be able to see one of the mylars. If there's a white stripe in the middle of it, it's fair to say they're worn. The one you can't see is the one that causes problems and it sits right in the middle of the reg section.

Nice one TM, I'll get some in, they're going to want changing at 1.6M I'd have thought.
