[Misc] RICOH Aficio 2090 copyquality problem after replacing the developer

Hi Friends,

I have a ricoh aficio 2090, now i have copy quality problem, 1 week before i was changed the developer and done the developer initialization sp 2801 but i can't able to get copy quality, its comes so light and without sharpness, even i was used type 21 developer only,what i need to do? please help me friends.

2090 Copy Quality

First, the Developer is the B2959640 for this Maschine.
Second, If you change the Developer u have to clean the Mag Rollers very good.
also its very urgent to clean the Doctor Blade inside the Dev Station.
And dont forget to have a Look for the Toner Glass above the Station.
This are the first Steps u must do to get a good Quality.

how is the drum life? maybe needs replacement.

try to clean also the exhaust fan and the ozone filter..Once it is dirty the airflow affects the charging ability of the corona wire.How is the corona wire?Is it still good??Also check the life of the drum, probably it has reached its life.An aging drum has less sensitivity and it would affect definitely the image quality output..

i checked the all above you mentioned but when we make image prints its not have good quality, and replace the drum also,

Hi,
Used to service these machines long time. If i may be correct this machine uses Transfer belt instead of transfer corotron. Check if you are gettin good image on Drum, then clean the Transfer belt assembly. There is a scrotron, clean it and check for the bias contacts. Good luck

ya, thanks guys now i sort out the problem, and i have one more in ricoh 2090 when making copies in A4 sheet front and back edge of the paper have toner spillage is there, i check the developer unit in front of developer unit have a lot of toner spill in the bottom plate, the drum, developer, transfer belt all are new, kindly any one help me please.

What did you find as the original problem for the light copies, please post that to complete the thread. And you are better off starting a new thread for this second problem on toner spill??

sorry friends i was not in field last few weeks, actual problem was toner hopper gear was not rotating when toner is emty in dev unit, i replaced all the gears in the hopper section the problem was solved.
