    Ricoh Aficio MB C4500 Fuser

    Hello all,

Has anyone experienced a fuser roll problem on this unit?

I have one that has a cracked roller end where the bearing is mounted. I don't know if this is from a paper jam or just poor design and build. It looks as if the roller is plastic rather than metal.

I fear that the complete fuser unit may need to be replaced.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Nope good fusing units generally.
Got a picture of the problem?

      Here's the Photo

I don't know if you can see it very clearly but the end of the roller that's inside the belt is cracked on the end where the bearing is fitted...

That crack caused problems with the fusing...

Hmmm yer I see, can't say I've seen that happen before/yet.

But it should be just a case of stripping down the fuser and replacing that roller I guess (lucky you).
