    Ricoh mpc 4500 sd card problem

    After i have replace th controller board the machine goes to ready and works only as copier not as a scanner or printer
    the message is : Please call service and after that : sd card authentication has failed

    any ideas about that ?

    Sounds like out of date firmware on the controller. Try updating and see if the message goes away.

      After replacing the controller, make sure SP5895 is set to 1.
      But, you'll most likely need to replace the sd card.

        If i copy the sd card from another machine with the sp5-873-001 move exec ?
        Is it possible that it works ?

          I agree, but maybe corrupt firmware. See if the machine will boot to an SD card with updated firmware.

            5873 is for merging applications to 1 card. ie moving print scan to the postscript card or a java app., not for copying another application card. Typically you can get the print scan sd card from Ricoh parts for around $75.
