mpc2800 breaking gears

anyone had a mpc2800 keep breaking one of the small gears in the exit unit we have one that has brocken 3 gears in the last week the unit out of the copier seems to run freely thanks for any input

I believe that is the same on the MP C4000's we have. Is it in the exit section above the fuser? The fans blow air and dirt across the decurling roller and dirt is ceasing the shaft/bushing causing a plastic gear to break. We have been replacing the shaft, bushings and gear. Ours are in a very dirty environment. We do not lube the bushings to keep the dirty from being attracted to it. Kinda thinking of putting some of those green bushings in instead.

spot on chected out the unit against a good one as you said cleaned up all the shafts etc
copier now up and running a few days thanks for the input
