The problem is vertical banding on a C900. They are evenly spaced and only show up in the large solid patches. The smaller solid patches it down not show up. Its mostly noticeable on the cyan but the magenta is starting to slightly look like it. The yellow and black are fine. If you print a solid patch on 11x17 100% fill it looks exactly like a sky view of someone who just cut hit grass with the stripes.
For the history of the machine it has new development unit assembly and developer, new drum (the D016 one, not the previous type that had the banding problems caused by deforming), new transfer belt and all four transfer rollers along with the main transfer roller, freshly PMed fuser, new charge units, recently PMed PTR section.
We had a Ricoh rep (not a Ricoh tech but a rep for the C900) and he told us that there is no fixing it. The machine has 1.3 million total on it and it just doesn't seem right. Also the customer doesn't like to hear that there is no fix and I was hoping someone on here has seen this before and knows a fix. Any help would be great
