This pattern is not in the print data, it gets cleaned off after the first copy, its as if the machine just decides that this pattern is part of the image, but only for the first copy, like there is an issue somewhere in image processing. If it were cleaning unit the image would stay, no?Comment

I think the first copy is out of the RAM DIMM and subsequent copies are from the HD. I would reseat the DIMM or try a different stick.sigpic

Correct, that is the MUSIC pattern for color registration. From the image it looks like the cleaning blade is scraping lines in it, so I would look at the condition of the belt and xfer cleaning unit as others have suggested.Comment

Re: Mpc-3000 weird pattern
Has there been and office or xmas parties done around the copier lately ?
Has anyone done a copy with glitter all over the original ?
Check that you don't have xmas card glitter or silver in or around the lense or the CDD in the optics.
Could it be a moisture or glue artifact of some kind in the optics ? The image you supplied shows you are getting a prism effect which means that white light is being bent or lensed through a curve surface. Like a rainbow effect after a storm. Could it be vermin defication on the mirror or lense ?Inauguration to the "AI cancel-culture" fraternity 1997...
