aficio 1022 jamming at fuser entrance

this machine is jamming at fuser inlet andd the paper is wrinkled on the reg roller. fuser looks like new and just replaced the reg roller. could a sensor be bad? thanx

Check fusing drive and release mechanism. Maybe the ledge on the right cover presses the lid is not enough. Try to extend his

First thing to do is check the jam history to see which sensor is registering the jam. Then you can troubleshoot further.

When you say fuser looks like new, does it mean the pressure is still ok??Check the pressure roller perhaps it is already shiny and the paper slides on it. Even the pressure roller is firm but lack of roughness, paper might not pass through.

if the paper doesn't make it into the nip of the fuser rollers, check the solenoid that releases drive to the fuser gears and the spring that pushes the gear against the fuser

Check your registration clutch..... if the paper is wrinkling at the reg roller then it sounds like your not getting enough bite on the paper as it comes up to the reg area causing wrinkling.... also check your relay and feed clutches and also the press roller.

If your wrinkling at the reg roller, check that the black guide is still in place when you open the right lower cover. They have a tendency to be pulled out of place when the customer is removing a misfeed.

Check the paperguide which the paper passes at the entrance of the fuser, probably you will find toner and papersmudge .Paper gets stuck to this rim of dirt....
Just clean it with a sharp knife or replace the entranceguide.
