    SC400 MPC4000

    Hello!
    SC400 in a MPC4000.
Already check the ID board and solenid, IOB, BCU, ITB assy and motor.
One thing that catch my attention. When i make a Calibration or a Line Position i do not see the patern in the ITB.... I think thats why the SC appears...
But what is causing it???? Main Board Controller????? (this is the only thing that I had no opportunity to test because i dont have it now)
I found myself in a dead end and made a Memory clear. Now after i turn on the SC400 shows.
    Any sugestion?
    Thanks

You said you checked the ID-board, but did you replace the ID-sensors?

The ID-sensors are on a board called 'Density Sensor' (Part no. D029 6395). You can also order the complete Density Sensor Assy (Part no. D029 5876).

Yes Eric. That is what i was tolking about.
You are saying the board above the ITB right? You are right it calls Density sensor but I called the "ID board".
But thank you so much for your concern. Can you think anything else?

Did this code come up recently after a drum was replaced - chances are it did. What has happened is the drum was dropped during shipping causing the leaf spring contact to come away from the end of the charge roller. Now it has arc'd causing nvram corruption. You need to replace the affected drum then get the birth certificate from the front door and re-input every value.

I have had this several times and to prove it put the damaged drum in a working machine and sure enough SC400 the next day.

I believe there is a bulletin about these drums becoming damaged in shipping.

So... you are saying that the NVram could be corrupt?
This happened after a blow up of the PSU.
First the IH coil demage and then, after i change it this SCode is poped everytime

I don't think the NVRAM is corrupted. I've had several drums damaged, but when the charge roller is not in contact with the drum you would get a black (or cyan, magenta, yellow) print, because the charge roller isn't contacting the drum. With an SC400 I would go for the ID-sensors.

It could be - the only way to get rid of the sc400 was to clear the nvram and then re-input all the values from the birth cert. Its not as bad as it seems just make sure you have a copy of the birth certificate. We had tried transfer belts, ID sensors, IO boards etc.

                      Hello!
After rethinking the whole problem i went back to square one. Redid the whole diagnosis and found that a pin of the plug (ID board) was bent.
(When i saw that i just wanted to give a shot in the head)
                      Well, now my problem is:
I didnt know what else i could do and i did a memory clear (like i said befour). I took the birth certificate and put back the values.
Everything is good except the skew in the copy (in the ADF and Glass). Print is good.
There must be an SP to fix it .. but which one is? Allready looked the manual but i cant find it.
                      Can sameone help me?
                      Thank so much!
