    MP C300/400

Anybody tried fitting a SP C430 fuser to a MP C300 / 400 yet? The lamps are different, 550/450 watts to a 650/400 watt in the copier. Since that is only a combined difference of 50 w is that enough to cause problems

    Do NOT try this !
You will end up with SC calls for the fuser....
Install the proper parts, otherwise your customer won't be a happy customer....

Besides that the fuser for the printer cost more that the one for the copier. I noticed a lot of different part #s between the two also. The printer version is user replaceable and the copier isn't.

I even think that do not fits.
At least I got that feeling when I was training in the machine.

OK, I'll give the fuser a miss, what about the PCU?
I notice that Ricoh have done their usual trick and ahve given one part number for the black drum unit and another for the colour.

            PCUs are different sizes.
