    Mpc 2050 cyan overtoned

The customer had a cyan toner that was saying add toner. They kept opening and closing the door, because the toner still felt full, turns out that the chip was bad, once they finally added a new toner the machine will doulbe image the cyan when running color and eventually jam in the fuser unit.
Has anyone been able to de-tone the dv units on this model or am I going to be forced to replace the entire dv unit. The machine has only 20k color pages through it.
I was not able to find just dv for it.

    Any input is greatly appreciated.

how was the double image? if they didn't use or refilled the toner cartridge then you can try to de tone it by copying original with more cyan. we have experienced that to one of our customer they refilled the cartridge so the developer was contaminated.
    Nobody is perfect..

I think I read in the mpc3500 manual ages ago that the machines will do an internal sky shot during process control if overtoned. (not sure if thats a good idea lol )

rsyarcia- The double image was occuring because the cyan was so overtoned that the toner was sticking to the fuser roller and the cyan portion of the image would repeat on the following page. The machine would jam only after 3 pages due to so much toner in the fuser. I was able to clean the fuser by running 100 white pgs.
