    [Misc] ricoh 2027 still waiting

    Ricoh 2027 display says please wait. after 20 min still says please wait. not going to ready state.

    maybe the HD, try to format it or replcae it with known good HD.
    Nobody is perfect..

        You can test if it is a defective HD by disconnecting it (or so is my understanding). If it works without the HD, replace HD.
        Have you tried turning it off and on again?

          This is correct. You lose finishing and Duplex but it is a great way to test. If it is defective just go to your local computer store or wherever and its the PATA notebook size hard drives. If you order from Ricoh they have a huge upcharge on them.

            Or order from Hytec, they get their HDDs from Ricoh but charge much less.

              I've had good luck with non-oem hdd's. I have yet to replace the twin drives like in a B222. From what I've read, that is a different animal. As far as your problem, these guys are right. hdd.
