[CQ] One machine with two opc and dev units(2035 aficio)

I have only one machine that want to use all the times but at any interval of time , the machine at a moment must be working go to fail, most often problems is because of two important units (OPC unit and dev unit)
If I buy one another opc unit and dev unit (with developer in both unit), when one unit go out service , temporarily using another .
I understand difference between two opc unit is drum and Charge roller( when another OPC unit is used temporarily for testing or as moment , the 3001 for ID sensor initialization and 2001 for charge roller bias adjustments must be performed)
But what about dev unit . I finded in manual of aficio ricoh(2035)
    These paragraph :
VTS :Adjusts the TD sensor output (VT).
Change this value after replacing the development
unit with another one that already contains toner.
For example, when using a development unit from
another machine for test purposes. To adjust VT,
use a similar procedure as for SP2-220.
    [1.00 ~ 5.00V / 4.78V / 0.02V step]
    2220 vref manual setting
Adjusts the TD sensor reference voltage (Vref). [1.0
    ~ 5.00 V / 4.00V / 0.01V step]
Change this value after replacing the development unit with another unit that
    contains toner.
    1. Check the value of SP2-220 in both the machine containing the test unit
and the machine that you are going to move it to.
    2. Install the test development unit, and then input the VREF for this unit into
    SP2-220.
    3. After the test, put back the old development unit, and change SP2-220
    back to the original value.

Please guide me about doing this .
This thing is best by economic consideration , because you rather use two machine , it is preferedly that use one machine with double important units
    Thank you
Color printing with lowest cost per page is my love.

Don't make this harder than you have to. Just keep the spare dev unit and pcu filled with new developer and a new drum, charge roller and drum blade. Then when it's necessary to swap out one or both, just run the process control on the newly installed units. Take the removed units back to the shop and rebuild with new parts for the next call. I guess your biggest problem will be keeping the spare units secure, level and protected from bumps and scrapes.
