For the couple of minutes it takes, there are only 2 screws that hold the machine exit in (one from the side above fuser and another behind the fuser exhaust fan) and check for the bushing ceasing on the decurling roller. When it happens, the page is out of the fuser and heading to the exit when it stops. What will happen is the D-shaped belt gear will crack and skip. Took us awhile to find but on certain machines we check it regularly (fly in gold mine)

Another thought. There is a bulletin on the MP4000 that affects all machines with the same feed stations. They have changed a bushing in the tray for jamming out of the tray. It does work. I had my own MOD for a time before getting a proper part number for the bushing. Now you are not having the right jam codes BUT I don't always trust them. See image: Item 20 MP4000 Bulletin 51 on TSRC.

If it had a bridge unit (he already stated there was no bridge or finisher).... it would be throwing 001 jams with the bridge interlock issue. Also, there is a firmware update for the 001 jams due to poor contact inside the switches...

The day before yesterday I replaced the 2 front door interlocks, the right door push switch and the paper feed motor.
I was there this morning and the jam counter was zero. They only ran about 1000 prints on it so it is too soon to celebrate.
I will post back if this fixes it.

I was there this morning and the jam counter was zero after about 4k prints. Either paper feed motor, front door interlocks or right door push switch fixed it.
                  Thanks everyone for their replies.

I would replace the door switches. Ive heard of guys having issues with them and this could be similar to what they've told me about. It may not actually flash the message or anything of that sort but it could be so quick that its undetectable. Just a cheap alternative suggestion because it sounds like you've been thru the gambit on it.

                      hi
im having the same problem on a relatively new machine (about 40k) the customer believes its only when doing double sided, i havent yet seen it jam but its getting 19 and 20 jam codes about 11 in a week, just wondering if there was a final solution , should i be ordering up door switches
                      regards
                      ben

Good place to start and include the bridge interlock switches too, as mentioned by cobiray

It doesn't have bridge unit so will go with door switches

Have had this happen on a few machines as well.
