Aficio 2238C - Fuser Oil unit not set properly

The customer just replaced the fuser oil unit and the machine does not work anymore. The error message is "Fuser Oil unit not set properly". I re-installed the fuser oil unit a few times, reboot machine, the machine went back to ready but it worked for less than a day.

Any help will be appreciated!

Check the metal contacts above oiler in the frame. Bend them down slightly and clean the surface to ensure good electrical contact.

I have also had this problem and had too either scotch bright the contacts or sand them with some fine grade sand paper they get oxidized and black in color and dont make good contact. Once you do that also make sure the drain under the fuser unit is not clogged with paper dust and the oil is flowing propperly this could cause oil on the contacts from the heat. Hope that helped.
