I am picking up a 2027sp and am wondering if anyone can tell me whether or not this machine has the capability to automatically detect incoming faxes using a distinctive ring pattern. Trying to avoid having a phone line dedicated just for receiving faxes. Thanks for any input.

It doesn't show up in the brochure, but I know it must have it.Every fax I've worked on over the last 20 years has the distinctive ring settings. They don't always label them the same way (Canon calls it DRPD), but they all have it.

1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
