Replace the thermistors (2) and the temp sensor. Other wise you may be looking at a board

That doesnt sound right, if the fuser has any sort of heating problem it will cause an error that cant be released - Unless someone before you has turned off SC detection - in which case you are probably in a hole new world of pain.

This machine is anything but new - as I recall it came out in 2005.

That means it has had 6+ years for anything bad to happen to it.

May I ask, what is leading you to believe it is not working because the heater part is not hot?

Upgrade the engine firmware, first thing you have to do before troubleshooting, since the copier left so many years unused...

How in the world can a $20k+ machine "just sit" unused for so many years?

I thought that only the US government did that.

What specifically is the problem? Does it make a print? Is it blank? Unfused? Am I getting warmer/colder?

You need to verify that the thermistors are working correctly.
                          Enter service mode>Clr Modes> 107>clear/stop

                          Select Copy SP

i think it is SP1106 to display the actual temps...

i think SP1105 is where you can adjust fusing temps...

New & fresh out of the box, but she doesn't work???

I'm guessing you're pretty tech savvy since you had to remove & disassemble the PCU's to replace the dummy DV cartridges, remove the ITB retaining rod, initialize the PCU's, etc. so help us out a little bit more - we can't see (or hear) the copier.

After the initial Please Wait screen, does it go thru another Please Wait phase or is it an instant Ready? Do you ever hear any motors running? Does the start key turn green again after you scan your originals? Did Sp3811 & Sp2111 complete successfully?

                            Very Strange.

When I took it out of box, I only put toner cartridges and toner developers, but cause she was sitting for very long time maybe that could be the problem, once I put on the machine "please wait" then after go to ready instant, no motors running, but the start key turn green and I could scan originals.

                              thx a lot
