    Ricoh 2015 sc 144

Original problem was sc 990 and Tech pulled and reconnected all wiring to the BCU board now has constant SC144.
I can go into service mode and print out data, so I don't think the BCU is bad.
Swapped out the VIB board and checked all ribbon connectors.
I did notice the lamp doesn't turn on when it powers up, but it will turn on in service mode.
    Anyone else run into this?
I don't want to have to replace the SBU board if I can avoid it.
    Thanks for any input.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

SBU connector issue. SBU board or maybe the actual scanner lamp is burned out. I had that code on thesame mfp and the board was bad. I hadanother oneand it turned out to be the scanner home position sensor was flakey.

        try this
The connector for the ARDF (Scanner section: Item 13) was making a poor connection. Replaced the connector, ARDF harness(ARDF parts manual: Drive section: Item 1) and ADF controller board (ARDF parts manual: Drive section: Item 2).

Turned out to be CCD unit. $100.00 from recycledparts.
Told Tech to unplug from wall before working on any machine from now on.
          Thanks for feedback.
