[CQ] Pro C901 duplex skew

Hi all,

Monday I have to go to a C901 for duplex skewing and I have no ideas of where to look on this beast. I'm the only tech within 3 hrs so I get to go look at it while the trained tech is on vacation. I have worked on a lot of the smaller Ricoh machines so I'm hoping with some advise from here that I can get this problem solved. Any advice would be much appreciated. I do have the service manual. TIA

First off its always best to have more than one trained tech on that machine because Ricoh is really picky. The most common cause of duplex skewing on this machine is when you pull out the two units (fusing section and registration) on the underside are some rollers with 2 springs on each roller shaft. These springs do fall out causing duplex skew. That's normally what I see causing this.

I appreciate the tips and I will keep them in mind for the future. The problem was actually skew on both sides and the skew adjustment took care of it.
