    [Dead] mpc2500 with no power

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me.
I have an MPC2500 that has no power. It keeps blowing the fuse in the power supply?

You need to change the PSU dude. They've always been flaky on these models, their big brother the MPC3500/4500 too. Which fuse is it blowing?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Disconnect the connector in the laser unit in order to check if the fuse in power supply will blow.If the fuse is again busted, try to check the inverter unit. After replacing the inverter unit and still the fuse is blowing, replace the BICU.

dissconnect evrything from the PSU apart from the power connections obviously and see if the fuse blows still, if it does then its your PSU. They have always been a bit 'flakey' as mentioned prviously

            Hi there

I've had the same problem with an MPC4000, the fuse "fu1" kept blowing on the psu, and sometimes tripped the "circiut breaker" on the customers meter board. If you opened the side door and took out the fuser, it would not happen, then push in the fuser and close the door and "bang" goes the fuse. In the end it was the induction supply board, that was faulty, and replacing it fixed it. I know MPC2500 do not have induction fusers, but it still could be the fuser, maybe drawing too much current and causing the fuse on the PSU to blow.

              HI!

Can please tell me exactly witch fuse in the PSU is blowing, normally if the main Fuse is blowing check if the varistor is blown and worse case if the varistor did not blow check the bridge type rectifier and the mosfet .
