Aficio 1045

I'm working on an Aficio 1045, the machine is working fine. But the duplex is not active and the option is not shown on the screen.
The duplex is plugged in and if I open it shows on the screen open.
I remember about 4 years someone wrote about the same thing and I think this is an adjustment option on the Sp but do not which one...

Do you check the pins inside the conector? It is very small and could be hapened to curved during conection.
What hapened if you try check in SP 5-804-29,30,31 some duplex motors?

It's more likely the HDD is bad/disconnected/missing.

is there an option in User Tools that turns on or off duplex copy/printing?

Again, look for the obvious. Is the sort function available or missing also? If missing, then you have a Hard Drive problem. Print out the config sheet and check it for the HDD status or try and do a format of the HDD. Pull out the controller, is the drive installed/plugged in?

Agree with teebee, pls check for HDD malfunction as this disenables the duplex function.

None of the pins on the duplex female connector are bent are they?

I agree with teebee1234. It's probably the Hard Drive.
