    NCR paper 1107ex

    NCR paper

I have an 1107ex that is running large amounts of 11x17 Appleton ncr paper. It is double feeding quite frequently. We also ran an 81/2x14 job and after around 500 it started to do the same thing. We are running it from tray 5 and it does have the modification plate installed. I tried a new feed unit and same result. If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. This is the main reason they purchased this machine.

Did you try out the rollers they recommend for coated paper. Could be worth a shot. p/u AF030071, feed AF031041A, sep AF032041A

NCR paper has always been a pain in my backside.

For one, it's usually 13 to 16#, either below specs or just at the lightest weight.
For two, the waxy NCR pressure sensitive ink deposits itself onto every mechanical part it touches from the pickup rollers to the finisher trays, and everything in between. It will destroy drums and fusers especially. I don't know anything about that particular Ricoh, but this is a road you don't want to go down. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
