    MPC3500 SC553

I've got a fuser ready to swap out. Is there anything else I need to be aware of as far as what you guys have seen that causes this code?

Make sure the firmware is up to the latest.

They had a misfeed in the fuser, 110lb glossy stock. (heavy stuff) I cleared the jam and thermistor temps were good. Reset the code and good to go.

          [Problem]
SC 553 Heating roller overheat (software error)
          Answer
          [Cause]
          • Heating roller temperature stays at or above 230 degrees C for more then 1 second.
          [Action]
          • Check temperatures with SP 1-106-1 for Center and -2 for end.
          • Confirm that the IH Coil fan blades are spinning. We have had reports of the motor running (so no SC532 is detected) but the fan blades are slipping on the shaft, this then causes the heat roller overheat condition.
