Guys, we have replaced MP C2500 with MP C2551. All configuration settings are the same. My questions is, How can we transfer the address book of the old machine into new one? I just want to know your answer about this matter. Thanks!

Re: address book
after you have downloaded the address book, keep it in a safe place because the Ricohs have been known to have hard drive failures so when that happens you can then reload the address book to the new hard drive.Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.Comment

Re: address book
Guys, thanks for the information.
I was surprised that after I replaced the old machine model MPC2500 with MPC 2551 and connected it to the network, the address book of the previous machine was already there in the new one. I did nothing about the address book. I just connected the machine and entered the same printer settings like IP address and etc.
What can you say about this?Last edited by sharpmind; 09-13-2011, 08:41 PM.Comment

Re: address book
Actually, what really surprised me is that the new machine was newly delivered by us. After unloading the machine from our delivery van, I contacted the client and asked him where to install the machine. We went to one department of their company. He told me to use the same configuration settings of the old machine. He asked me if we were going to install the new driver for MP C2251. I told him no need to install a new driver because the old printer driver for MP C2500 would work for that new machine. Then he asked how about the address book of the old machine. I told him that I have to make a back up of the address book. But when the client pressed the scanner button he found out that the address book of the old machine was already there. I felt embarrassed. I feel like I don't know what I'm saying.Comment
