    3235c random skewed/crooked images

I've got a Aficio 3235c that gives random skewed/crooked images from all inputs (engine memory, copies and prints). (Same as Savin C3528, Lanier LD335c or Gestetner DSc435.) I've already replaced the sync clutch and feed rollers, cleaned sync and transport rollers. Not a lot of usage, under 350k total prints. I've yet to pull out the transfer belt, but that's next on the list next time I'm there. Any other thoughts or suggestions?
the savin2535 is displaying well bet the hiter lamp is not shining and the lamp had been tested o.k.please kindly help.
Samir: No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window.

Does it do it both single and double sided? I've had a lot of these with burrs in the duplex and inverter that the paper would get caught on and cause skew. Also check all of your mylars, especially at the beginning of the transfer unit, and the duplex unit.

One last thing to check would also be to make sure your trays all have good end fences and decent paper.

Yes, but most output is single sided eliminating the duplex/turnover unit. Also, this is a plain jane unit, no paper bank, no finisher.

Paper is $h1t Staples paper. Nothing I can do about it, but I don't suspect it to be the problem at this point.

I thought about the transfer unit after I left yesterday, so I haven't checked it yet. Like before, single sided does it as well so the duplexer is eliminated. I will pull the transfer unit and check it out. Thanks for the help.

Push right door while machine is making copies to see any improved on skewing.

Has the machine been recently moved from one room to another or to a different place in the same room?

Are you thinking the plastic door might be cracked or otherwise damaged?

Machine is still in the same place it's been since delivered. I did move it away from the wall to put the clutch in, but it was happening before that.

Ha! Now I have two of these making skewed copies. Ones a 3228, the other is a 45.

It seems to do it mostly on LTR not LTR-R. Even does it on LEDGER. I'll look into to it some more this week I'm sure. (Especially since the 45 is mine muhahahahaha)

Havn't worked on one of these for a while now, something in the back of the brain says try looking for wear in the guides just before the rego roller. Does it do it out of both trays?

And if your worried about the paper try taking along a ream of your own. ( I might be trying to teach my granny to suck eggs there )

Swapped out the transport unit with another machine and the problem is gone. So it may just be that initial roller (thin rubber/foam roller) on the bottom left of the TPU.

I got the idea from another post on a 2232c. I'll dig the post up again later to give credit where its due.
