mpc 5000 LCT sc503

i have a mpc 5000 with an LCT showing sc 503

when paper runs out on the right hand side, the left hand side does not shift to the right and shows a spanner sc503.

i took the left handside tray out completely so i can see the right hand side lift the paper. when it runs out, the base falls back down and the sc 503 shows. i checked if there was any paper stuck behind the tandum connector but its all clean.



i changed the lift motor with no effect.

Take out the Tray 3 feed station and inspect the actuators and sensors. Swap it with tray 2 if you're unsure.

When the paper lifts it moves the pick up roller into a sensor, this might be out of position.
