    Sr5000 jam111

    Hi all,
Have a machine that jamms as it is about to exit the staple tray.
The feed out belt feeds the stapled jobs halfway and displays jamm 111.
Everything runs fine in input/ output mode am thinking of ordering the feed out
motor anyone had similar problems or ideas/solutions?

    Cheers

Standard checks, "horizontal" joggers (Section 3.3, items 1, 2, 3 in service manual) can cause odd faults, they dislodge from their runners. Also, check the upper exit guide (Above the rubber exit rollers) is lifting correctly. There is also finisher firmware for tis fault.

Firmware? not sure if there is for the guide not lifting, but there is for Jam 111.
On the old SR840 / 841 the DC shift motor used to fail. They modified the motor position the SR5000, but...................

There is an RTB (RB830002a in the UK) to "improve motor reliability". Requires new motor and bracket.

If the motor does fail it disrupts the sequence,,, The tray should lower, then the guide lifts to allow the staple set out. No tray shift = no guide lift = jam 111

After much troubleshooting and swapping out parts turned out to be the top jogger timing was slightly out.
Swapped it over and problem solved.

            Cheers all
